From research to ideation to sketching to prototyping, process and development is a large bulk of design. The final product is but a culmination of the process into a refined solution. Although it can oftentimes look too clean and mechanical, the human hand plays a large influence on its outcome. The concept of the department’s catalog demonstrates the design process through visual elements that express humanistic qualities. These elements include script typography and hand-drawn images. Organized in a consistent grid system, the catalog illustrates the dual sides of graphic design.
