about.
Hello! I’m Nancy Lor, a Hmong-American graphic designer and illustrator based in Charlotte, North Carolina. I have a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, as well as an AFA in Visual Arts and an AA in Liberal Studies from Catawba Valley Community College. I specialize in combining graphic design and illustration into creative visual solutions that are cohesive, intuitive, and thoughtful. I also love storytelling, through both literature and visual mediums.
Growing up with 1st-generation immigrant parents, art wasn’t something my family had the luxury to appreciate—but that didn’t stop my passion from festering. Since the moment I could hold a pencil, I’ve been building worlds and characters from nothing but lines and words. I never thought being voted “Most Likely to Become an Artist” in grade school would land me a career in the field, but here I am! When I’m not busy creating, you can find me reading, writing, singing, or playing video games.
If you would like to learn more about me and my work, please check out my resume and email me at artbynlor@gmail.com or DM me on Twitter and Instagram for any inquiries. I would love to hear about your story!
