夢から覚めて (Wake from a Dream) is a mashup of three songs from the popular mobile game Onmyōji. The songs are 鹿 (Deer), 化作青烟 (Fade into Fumes), and both the Japanese and Mandarin Chinese versions of Virtuoso Hana’s character song, 風結び (Weaving Wind Knot) and 前尘卷 (Scroll of Lives Passed). The mashup intricately intertwines the lyrics of these songs to convey the bitter-sweetness of waking from a blissful dream and the reluctance to face the reality of losing a loved one. In the backdrop of this mashup is the beautiful instrumental from LiSA’s sixteenth single Unlasting.

The album cover depicts the personas of the two singers, Dusty (尘) and Moon (月), in a room filled with painted scrolls. The hanging artworks physically obstruct the two figures from one another, implying the separation of their worlds—as one only exists in the other’s dream. The textured paper overlay and faded colors emphasize the themes of impermanence and memory.
